CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER - BIOTECH FACILITY - DUBLIN

JOB DESCRIPTION  

Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a
state of the art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoighaire,
South Dublin. 

The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently
undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment. 

This is an excellent opportunity to get experience into
Ireland&# *;s leading aseptic manufacturing
plant.

This is an ongoing long-term project with an initial **Apply on the
website** month contract with the strong possibility of an
extension. 

Construction Project Engineer supporting a portfolio substantial
construction projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry. 

Coordination of project construction activities to deliver capital the
projects against Safety, Quality and Schedule commitments.

Oversight and planning of construction works in tandem with site
contractors, construction managers and facility stakeholders
Coordination of activities of the capital project against Safety,
Schedule and Quality.

Drive safe execution of works

Ensure timely delivery of construction tasks

Ensure the delivery of project through the Capital Project Management
Process.

Development, Reporting and management of the project construction
deliverables.

Participate and run daily whiteboard sessions to plan work

Manager the third party contractors and outsourced partners to ensure
the optimal delivery of the project against safety, cost, quality and
schedule objectives.

Drive a safety culture through the project team. and ensure that the
projects is are in compliance with site and corporate regulatory
authority guidelines.

Work with construction contractors to ensure work is planned in
advance, materials available, staff on site and safe and thorough
planning is carried out – review and approve RAMS, SPAs etc. 

Solution seeking to complex project phasing and execution issues.

The Project Engineer will need to work with stakeholders to identify
the optimum path forward 

Work in a collaborative manner within the Process Teams structure and
contributes to Root Cause Investigations and Cross Functional
Investigations. 

Role model safety leadership. Support a safe working environment by
driving compliance with environmental health/safety practice, rules
and regulations.

Ensure projects are delivered with superior levels of environmental
control, health and safety built in.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical qualification at third level or equivalent in Engineering.

Experience of working in a similar construction environment – large
project on Architectural & Engineering (A&E) on a Biopharmaceutical
site projects beneficial.

Experience of sterile / biotech equipment within the pharmaceutical
industry is preferred.

Knowledge of safety, GMP and environmental regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated strong Communication and Leadership skills.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to
achieve optimal outcomes.

Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment 

Strong practice experience / Hands-on experience

Strong relationship building skills & good stakeholder management.

Strong onsite Problem-Solving Skills
